Tyre loss calculator
Extended the life of your tyres
Proper and regular vehicle maintenance has a direct effect on the life of your tyres and an impact on the amount of pollutants generated by your vehicle. The table below shows the real cost of a tyre when your tyre pressures are 10psi, 20psi or 30psi under-inflated. Remember you can be as much as 50% under-inflated and not notice it visually! Our figures are based on a like for like loss of tyre life tread to loss of pressure. That means for every psi loss of pressure you’ll loose the same percentage from the life of your tyre. Tyre manufactures agree… “Tyres running as little as 10% low on inflation are losing up to 12% of the tyres tread life. At 20% low they lose nearly 23% of their tread life” Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Co. “Heat build-up is the single greatest case of tyre problems. Low inflation pressures are the biggest cause of heat build-up that destroys tyres” Goodyear Tire Co. The real cost of a litre of fuel when tyres are under-inflated
STOP THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY…We will give you a free Quik-Chek tyre pressure monitoring device to help keep you safe, save you money and reduce pollution. More… If your car tyre pressures were left at 10psi under-inflated you would only need to do 8,000 miles a year for the savings to pay for your very own Wireless Digital PressurePro TPM System.
