Anti-theft aircheckers
AIRCHECKERS FAQ's

Q. What is the Airchecker/Tyre Pressure Monitor?
A. The revolutionary Tyre Pressure Monitor eliminates the guesswork of determining correct tyre pressure. Proper inflation of your tyres helps reduce the risk of poor handling, blowouts, and accidents while improving fuel consumption and tyre life. These easy-to-install replacement safety caps constantly monitor your tyre pressure with clear, bright colour indicators.

Q. How accurate is the Tyre Pressure Monitor?
A. Aircheckers are precision made (26-80 psi) for a full range of cars, vans, motorcycles as well as light trucks and are accurate to within +/- 5% (that’s 1 psi on an average car). Utilise the Tyre Pressure Monitor and travel with confidence.

Q. Where can I find the right tyre pressure for my car?
A. The correct tyre pressure for your vehicle can be found on the inside of the drivers door jam, on the petrol cap flap, in the glove box, or in the owner's manual. And also, probably listed here on our website. Choose the Tyre Pressure Monitor that is closest up to the PSI rating that you require. For example, if your PSI Rating is 29, order 30 PSI

Q. What if the front PSI rating is different to that of the rear tyres?
A. We have pack sizes to accommodate this such as packs of 1, 2 and 4. All our Tyre Pressure Monitor caps are packed to your precise requirements, and are individually packed to your order. Just order what you require, it's easy and hassle free!

Q. How do I install the Tyre Pressure Monitor?
A. They are simple and easy to use. Just remove your old dust caps (if fitted) and replace finger tight with the Tyre Pressure Monitor.

Q. What if my dealer or I need to remove the caps?
A. Be sure that the black "O-ring" seal remains in the chamber of the Tyre Pressure Monitor after removal. Check that no foreign objects have entered the chamber and that the clear acrylic top is in good condition. At this time, you should check the actual tyre pressure with a proper gauge and "top-up" if necessary. It is quite normal to lose 1 psi per month.

Q. Do I ever need to use a pressure gauge to check the PSI?
A. Yes, Tyre Pressure Monitor caps provide you with a convenient, simple, at-a-glance warning of low tire pressure only. Ensure that your tyres are at their recommended PSI rating prior to installing the Tyre Pressure Monitor caps and check regularly with a quality digital gauge, see our range of gauges here.

Q. How often do I need to replace the Tyre Pressure Monitor?
A. As a general "suggestion" you may consider replacing them each spring or annually on your birthday. Although, they will normally last the life of the tyre.

did you know...?

Government and Industry studies show that keeping tyres properly inflated reduces stresses and heat on the tyre casing increasing safety and tread life. Properly inflated tyres roll easier than tyres low on pressure, giving greater fuel efficiency and saving money. Tyres last longer saving natural resources and decreasing the waste problem caused by worn out tyres. Greater safety is provided for you, passengers, equipment and others who share the road when tyre pressure is kept at the proper levels.
